MapCreate 6.2 Update

Note: This update is not necessary if you currently have MapCreate™ 6 with a part number ending in "20" (version 6.2) or "30" (version 6.3), such as 049-0018-20 or 049-0026-30. See the back of the CD jewel case for a part number. This update will not work with MapCreate™ 5 or MapCreate™ 4.

Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure that MapCreate™ 6 is not currently running.
  2. Click on the "Download" link below.
  3. Click "Save..." or "Save As...".
  4. After the file has finished downloading, run the executable file by double-clicking on it.
  5. When the InstallShield Security Warning appears, choose to continue, then click Next. Follow the MapCreate update installation instructions. If you are not sure about a step, just select the default choice. When the installer finishes you will prompted to click Finish to exit.
  6. Version 6.2 enhancements are now incorporated into your MapCreate™ software. Go to your START menu to run MapCreate™ 6 with the new 6.2 features.

What changes are made in this update?

  • New MapSelect™ Easy Mode feature added for "point, click and save" mapmaking
  • Also includes these features from update 6.1:
    • Faster performance in map creation and general use
    • New Estimator button quickly and easily estimates final file size of your custom maps
    • Automatic discovery of a connected MMC card reader
    • Automatic saving of custom maps and GPS data directly to your MMC card
    • Enhancements to loading and saving custom GPS data files and untitled map border files

MapCreate™ 6.2 software will run on any IBM compatible machine with Pentium® 133 MHz or faster processor and 32MB of RAM running Windows® 98, ME, 2000, XP and currently has MapCreate™ 6 software installed.
